Celebrating 20 years of Xbox, Microsoft is giving back to the Xbox gamers community by adding 76 new games to its backward compatibility library. The company says it has considered several requests and feedback from its users while working on the backwards compatibility programme. It worked closely with the original creators to enhance and preserve thousands of games from four generations of Xbox.
“This latest and final addition of 70+ titles to the backwards compatibility program was only possible through the passion and feedback from the community. While we continue to stay focused on preserving and enhancing the art form of games, we have reached the limit of our ability to bring new games to the catalogue from the past due to licensing, legal and technical constraints,” explains Peggy Lo, compatibility program lead at Xbox.
