Acer Predator Triton SE 14, Predator Triton SE 16 Gaming Laptops Announced

Acer is refreshing its Predator gaming laptop series with two new laptops for 2022—the Predator Triton 300 SE with 14-inch display and Predator Triton 300 SE with 16-inch display. These new laptops are powered by 12th Gen Intel Core CPUs which are paired with NVIDIA RTX 30-series Laptop GPUs. Both pack up to 32GB of RAM and up to 512GB storage. Let us take a closer look at the specifications and pricing of these two new laptops.

Acer Predator Triton SE 14, Predator Triton SE 16 Specifications, Features

The Acer Predator SE 14 features a 14-inch OLED display that has QHD+ resolution, 165Hz refresh rate, and 400 nits peak brightness. Customers can also get this laptop with a 14-inch IPS LCD display that has Full HD+ resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate. As its name suggests, the SE 16 features a 16-inch IPS LCD panel. It is available with either QHD+ or Full HD+ resolution. The QHD+ variant offers up to 240Hz refresh rate and 500 nits brightness, while the latter variant offers a 165Hz refresh rate and 400 nits brightness.

As for the hardware, the 14-inch model can be configured with up to 12th Gen Intel Core i9-12900H processor, while the SE 16-inch variant can be purchased with Core i7-12700H CPU. The Predator SE 14 packs NVIDIA RTX 3060 Laptop GPU, while the SE 16 includes NVIDIA RTX 3070 Ti GPU. Both these laptops offer up to 32GB LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB SSD storage. Customers can expand the storage on the smaller screen laptop up to 1TB, while the Predator SE 16 storage can be expanded up to 2TB. For thermal management, the laptops have Acer’s fifth-gen AeroBlade 3D fans and liquid metal thermal paste.

Connectivity-wise, both the laptops have a Thunderbolt 4 port, HDMI 2.1, two USB-A 3.2 (Gen 2), Wi-Fi 6E, and a 3.5mm audio port. The 14-inch model ships with a 76Wh battery while the 16-inch variant packs a 99.89Wh battery.

The Predator SE 14 is expected to go on sale in July for $1,600 (roughly ₹1,24,500). The larger laptop is expected to debut in August for $1,750 (roughly ₹1,36,200).
