Amazfit GTR 2 With Refreshed Design, AMOLED, Bluetooth Calling Launched In India: Price

Huami has introduced its updated 2022 Amazfit GTR 2 dubbed the “New Version” in India. It replaces the popular Amazfit GTR 2 smartwatch, which debuted in India back in 2020. The new version retains the internals from the original Amazfit GTR 2, but comes with a refreshed design. The Amazfit GTR 2 (New Version) packs in an AMOLED display, 2.5D curved glass, 24-hour heart rate tracking, haptic vibration, and calling features, among others.

The new Amazfit GTR 2 comes with a premium build with choices of either stainless steel or a black aluminium casing. The smartwatch sports a round dial with a 2.5D curved 1.39-inch AMOLED display with 454 x 454 pixels resolution and 450 nits of peak brightness. It also comes with a Diamond-like Carbon (DLC) coating for scratch resistance and an anti-fingerprint coating on the glass. 

Huami’s self-developed BioTracker 2 PPG can measure SpO2 levels. It also tracks your heart rate 24/7, and analyses your resting heart rate and other parameters to warn you of any abnormalities in your heart functions. Other sensors include Accelerometer, Gyroscope, Biological data sensor, Geomagnetic, Air Pressure, and an Ambient Light sensor. 

The new Amazfit GTR2 comes loaded with over 90 sports modes such as walking, running, swimming, climbing, trail running, treadmill, indoor cycling, and outdoor cycling, among others. Its inbuilt fitness tracker can track your distance, steps, and calories. That’s not all, it can also perform sleep analysis (Light, Deep, REM and Sleep Stages) and detect stress levels (Relaxed, Normal, Medium or High).  

The Amazfit GTR 2 New Version is water-resistant up to 50 metres, so you should be able to take it swimming. It comes with an inbuilt microphone and three magnetic super linear speakers which can be used for calling by pairing with your smartphone. You can also trigger the Alexa Voice assistant to set alarms, reminders, timers, get information, check weather conditions, and more.  

Other notable features include Bluetooth 5.0 LE, Wi-Fi, GPS, GLONASS, 3GB inbuilt storage, Smart PA audio amplifier, haptic vibration for calls and notifications, and Android/iOS compatibility. The watch comes with a 471mAh battery that can reportedly last up to 38 days with minimal usage, 14 days with normal usage, and up to 6.5 days with heavy use.

The new Amazfit GTR 2 smartwatch is priced at ₹11,999. You can get it at a discounted price of ₹10,999, if you buy it on the first day of the sale, which is May 23 2022. It will be available for purchase via Flipkart and Amazfit’s website. The smartwatch comes in black and grey colour variants.
