Amazfit GTS 2 (New Version) With AMOLED, BioTracker 2 PPG Launched In India: Price

After launching the Amazfit GTR 2 (New Version) last week, Huami has now introduced its Amazfit GTS 2 (New Version) smartwatch in India. It will succeed the original Amazfit GTS 2, which was launched in the market back in 2020. The refreshed version packs in an AMOLED display, BioTracker 2 PPG, built-in sports modes, a water-resistant body, Bluetooth calling support, and more.

Amazfit GTS 2 (New Version): Features, Specifications

The Amazfit GTS 2 (New Version) comes with a premium aluminium alloy build. Unlike the circular design of the Amazfit GTR 2, the Amazfit GTS 2 comes with a rectangular design, which seems inspired by Apple’s offerings. It sports a 1.65-inch AMOLED display with 341 PPI. The display is protected by Corning’s Gorilla Glass. Additionally, it comes with a Diamond-like Carbon (DLC) coating for scratch resistance and an anti-fingerprint coating. Users will now be able to enjoy the new Always-On display feature and unlock the smartwatch via a password. 

The Amazfit GTS 2 (New Version) uses Huami’s self-developed BioTracker 2 PPG to measure SpO2 levels, 24/7 heart rate tracking, and also analyses your resting heart rate and other parameters to warn you of any abnormalities. Fitness enthusiasts will appreciate its built-in 90+ sports modes such as running, walking, climbing, swimming, trail running, treadmill, indoor cycling, outdoor cycling, and many more. 

The smartwatch comes with an activity tracking feature, which can keep a record of the distance covered, step count, and calorie count. Furthermore, it can analyse your sleep (Light, Deep, REM and Sleep Stages) and also detect stress levels (Relaxed, Normal, Medium or High). Other sensors include Accelerometer, Gyroscope, Biological data sensor, Geomagnetic, Air Pressure, and an Ambient Light Sensor. 

You can pair the smartwatch with your handset with the help of Bluetooth v5.0 LE to attend calls via its in-built microphone and speaker. You can also summon Alexa Voice Assistant to set reminders, set timers, check the weather, take notes, and more with ease. The Amazfit GTR 2 New Version comes with a 5ATM water-resistance certification, meaning you can take it swimming up to 50 metres.

Other notable features include GPS, Wi-Fi, Android and iOS support, 3GB internal storage, and Zepp app connectivity. The smartwatch is powered by a 246mAh battery, which is claimed to last up to six days with normal usage and up to three days with heavy usage. 

Amazfit GTS 2 (New Version): Price, Availability

The Amazfit GTS 2 (New Version) is priced at ₹11,999. However, if you purchase it on its first day of sale on June 5 2022, you can get it for ₹10,999. It will be available for purchase via Amazon and comes in Midnight Black and Petal Pink colourways.
