Apple has hiked the prices of the AirPods Pro, AirPods (third generation), and AirPods Max in India by up to 10 per cent. The AirPods Pro has seen a price rise of ₹1,400, while the AirPods (third generation) gets a price increase of ₹2,000. On the other hand, the cost of AirPods Max has now increased by ₹7,100. The new prices are already listed on Apple’s online store.
Here’s How You Can Still Purchase These Apple Products At Its Older Pricing
While Apple is yet to comment on the reason for the price increase, it is speculated that the recent jump in import levies on headphones and earbuds announced in the Union budget might be the reason. Customs charges on headphones and earphones have been increased to 20 percent from a mere 15 percent in the new budget for this fiscal year (2022-23).
Apple’s flagship headphones, the AirPods Max, launched for ₹59,900 and now cost ₹66,100 (after a ₹7,100 price hike). The third-gen AirPods Pro, initially launched at ₹24,900 will now be available for ₹26,300 (a ₹1,400 price increase), and finally, the third-gen AirPods will now be sold for ₹20,500, after a ₹2,000 hike from the previous selling price of ₹18,500.

Apple now only manufactures a few iPhone models in the nation, including the iPhone 12, iPhone 11 as well as iPhone SE.
At the time of writing, these new modifications were only reflected in Apple’s online retail store, while e-commerce partners such as Amazon and Flipkart continue to offer the devices at the former pricing.
