Apple started rolling out the iOS 16 beta 4 update to developers on July 27, 2022. The new update includes a nifty feature to iMessage. The iOS 16 gets the ability to unsend iMessages, which allows you to retract messages after it has been delivered to the user. Folks using third-party instant messaging apps such as WhatsApp must already be familiar with the unsend feature and how it works.
Users of the Apple iOS-powered devices can now make use of the unsend option to modify and unsend iMessages with ease. It also comes with an edit history feature. This will allow the receiver to access the original message. You can simply tap on the “Edited” option below an edited iMessage conversation bubble to view the original message and other edits done by the sender. The unsend feature of iMessage has a window of two minutes to retract the message after it was delivered. However, you get a window of 15 minutes to make changes to the message.

iOS 16 Beta 4: Feature Additions
In addition to the unsend feature in iMessage, Apple is also allowing users to unsend an email in the Mail app on iOS 16. The previous three beta versions had a time interval of 10 seconds, which has been increased to up to 30 seconds with the fourth beta update. Moreover, users now get options to set it to 10, 20, or 30 seconds.
