Last month, Apple had announced that it will be hosting the WWDC 2022 from June 6 to 10. While the annual developer conference will not be a full-fledged in-person event, some lucky developers will get to attend the keynote at the Apple campus.
Apple had halted in-person events owing to COVID-19. As the effects of the pandemic appear to wane, the iPhone maker opened up a few spots for a few developers to attend WWDC 2022 in person. Interested developers had to register through the Apple Developer website. Submissions closed on May 11, and now Apple is informing those who had registered whether they get to attend the event.

Although WWDC 2022 will be pre-recorded, Apple will allow developers who have received the invites to watch the keynote at the campus. Besides, they will get the opportunity to be the first to check out the new Developer Center at Apple Park. To do so, attendees will be required to furnish a negative COVID-19 test result. However, Apple’s health and safety guidelines deem masks as optional.
According to rumours, Apple is expected to unveil iOS 16, watchOS 9, iPadOS 16, macOS 13, and tvOS 16 during WWDC 2022. It is speculated that although iOS 16 may not get a design revamp, it may offer new ways of interacting with the iOS. Moreover, the upcoming OS could come with brand-new Apple apps. While the event usually doesn’t showcase new hardware, some reports say that Apple could unveil its upcoming Mac Pro in June.
The iPhone maker will be streaming WWDC 2022 on Apple.com, the Apple Developer app, Apple Developer website, Apple TV, and YouTube. The event will be streamed live from June 6 through June 10.
