Asus had first introduced the ProArt Display PA147CDV back in September 2021, but it was never available for purchase. This could change soon as the company showed it off again at the NAB show this week. The electronics manufacturer is now planning to release it soon.
The Asus ProArt Display is intended to work as a secondary display for creatives. This portable monitor is quite peculiar, as it features an ultra-wide display accompanied by support for pen input. What makes it more interesting is the Asus Dial that is built into the monitor. It can be used in apps that work with Microsoft’s Surface Dial.

Asus ProArt Display Specifications And Features
The Asus ProArt Display sports a 14-inch LCD display panel with a resolution of 1920 x 550 pixels. It has an IPS screen with 100 percent sRGB color gamut and Delta E < 2 color accuracy.
Interestingly, it has a 32:9 aspect ratio, which is reminiscent of the screens of some of its Duo series of laptops. Running apps on the display might not be the best idea, due to its awkward aspect ratio, However, it can be used to display secondary content while the main app is running.
For instance, artists can fire up a reference picture on the ProArt display while working on their main screen. What differentiates it from smartphone or tablets that can do the same thing is the ability to use it as an input device for your computer. It comes with a 10-finger capacitive touch input and a pen input. Most importantly, it features an Asus Dial which is placed behind the display.
As far as connectivity is concerned, the Asus ProArt Display offers one HDMI 1.4 input and two USB-C ports. It has an inbuilt kickstand which will let you adjust the display.
Asus ProArt Display Price, Availablilty
The ProArt Display will be launched in the second quarter of 2022 in North America. Asus is marketing it as a gadget for creatives who want a little extra screen space without having to purchase a second monitor or tablet. The Taiwanese firm will have to offer the display at a competitive price to edge out rival firms that sell devices with larger screens. There’s no word on the pricing so far.
