Taiwanese brand Asus has added a plethora of new laptops to its ProArt Studiobook, Vivobook, and Zenbook line-up. Targeted at content creators, these notebooks feature OLED screens and Nvidia GPUs. These machines support Windows 11 and will ship with up to three months of complimentary Adobe Creative Cloud subscriptions. If you thought Asus’ smartphone naming scheme is confusing, be prepared to get mad over its laptop labelling.

Customers get to choose from either Ryzen 5000 (W5600) or the 3rd generation Intel Xeon processor (W7600). Depending on the model, these laptops come with NVIDIA RTX A2000 or A5000 GPUs.
A laptop in this series can be loaded with up to 64 GB DDR4 RAM. Other features include HDMI 2.1, SD Express 7.0 card reader, and Thunderbolt 4 or USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C (W5600) ports.
The Studiobook Pro 16 OLED comes with a Dial near its trackpad, which is reminiscent of Microsoft’s Surface Dial accessory. Tailored for content creators, this rotary dial is compatible with programmes such as Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Photoshop Lightroom Classic, and After Effects.
As you can guess from its name, the Studiobook Pro 16 OLED features a 16-inch OLED screen with 4K resolution. The panel covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut and supports HDR. It is calibrated out of the box with a Delta-E < 2 colour accuracy.
ProArt Studiobook 16 OLED (H7600, H5600) Specifications
If you think the Pro models are overkill, Asus also offers standard ProArt Studiobook 16 OLED models. These notebooks pack in either Intel Core i9 (H7600) or AMD Ryzen 5000 series (H5600) processors. For this line-up, Asus has gone with NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 3070 (H5600) and 3060 (H7600) GPUs. These machines support up to 64 GB of DDR4 RAM.
Much like the Pro models, the standard variants sport a 16-inch 4K OLED HDR display. The panel covers 100% DCI-P3 color gamut and comes with a Delta-E < 2 colour accuracy. It also retains the onboard dial compatible with Adobe programmes.
ProArt Studiobook 16 OLED offers connectivity options such as the Thunderbolt 4 (H7600) or USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C (H5600) ports, HDMI 2.1, and an SD Express 7.0 card reader.
Vivobook Pro 14X/16X OLED (M7400, M7600, N7400, N7600) Specifications
The new Vivobook Pro 14X/16X line-up includes two 14-inch and two 16-inch models. All four variants feature 4K OLED panels. The notebooks are powered by AMD Ryzen 5000 H Series or Intel Core i7 processors. Moving onto the graphics cards, Asus offers up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti.
The Vivonook Pro 14X/16X laptops come with a unique dial embedded into the trackpad. Asus likes to refer to it as a DialPad. Much like the full-fledged Dial on the ProArt Studiobook series, this DialPad plays nice with Adobe programmes. According to Asus, these machines feature a dual-fan cooling design for sustained performance.
Vivobook Pro 14/15 OLED (M3401, M3500, K3400, K3500)
Vivobook Pro 14/15 stick to OLED moniker but settle for either 2.5K or FHD resolution. These notebooks will be available in 14-inch and 15-inch variants. In terms of firepower, you get to choose from Intel Core i7 or AMD Ryzen 5000 H series processors. For video editing and 3D modeling, the Vivobook 14/15 packs in NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 GPU.
To keep the system run cool even with a heavy workload, these machines come with a dual-fan cooling system. Other highlights include Harman Kardon certified audio and Wi-Fi 6.
Zenbook Pro Duo 15 OLED Specifications
Asus has refreshed the Zenbook Pro Duo 15 OLED for 2021. The laptop features a 15.6-inch 4K OLED display accompanied by a secondary 14-inch touchscreen. The latter can be used to accommodate controls of your content creation programmes.
Customers get to choose between Intel Core i7 and i9 processors. RAM can be beefed up to 32 GB. In terms of storage, the laptop can be loaded with a 1 TB SSD. Moreover, Asus offers up to GeForce RTX 3070 discrete graphics card.
Other features include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2. USB 3.2 Gen 2 port, two Thunderbolt ports, and HDMI 2.1.
Zenbook 14X OLED Specifications
The Zenbook 14X OLED sports a 14-inch display with a resolution of up to 3840 x 2400. You get to choose from regular and touchscreen options. Instead of a conventional trackpad, the Zenbook 14X sports an IPS touch display dubbed as ScreenPad 2.0.
Based on your requirement, you can configure this laptop with an Intel Core i5 or i7 processor. You get to choose up to 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of SSD storage.
The laptop features a backlit chiclet keyboard with 1.4 mm travel. For video calls, you get an HD webcam. On the connectivity front, Asus offers Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, USB 3.2 Gen 2, two Thunderbolt ports, HDMI 2.0b, and a micro SD card reader.
Zenbook 14 Flip OLED Specifications
The Zenbook 14 Flip OLED comes with a 360° hinge. The laptop sports a 14-inch OLED touchscreen with a resolution of up to 3840 x 2400. The panel has 400 nits brightness and covers 100% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut.
The performance is taken care of by Intel’s Core i7 or i5 processor. The notebook comes with Intel Iris Xe Graphics and up to 16 GB RAM. In terms of storage, the Zenbook 12 Flip OLED comes in 256 GB, 512 GB, and 1 TB options.
The machine boasts of an HD webcam, backlit keyboard, and Harman Kardon tuned onboard speakers. The trackpad features a unique capacitive Numpad for convenience. Other features include USB 3.2 Gen 2, two Thunderbolt 4 ports, a microSD card slot, and HDMI 2.0b. Asus claims that the Zenbook 14 Flip adheres to US MIL-STD 810H military standards.
Prices and availability
Asus is planning to bring these new laptops to the US in the fourth quarter of 2021. The price of Vivobook Pro 15 OLED will start at $919. The Vivobook Pro 16X OLED will be available at a base price of $1,399.
The Zenbook Pro series will be available at a starting price of $1,469. The most expensive among the lot will be the ProArt Studiobook series with a base model pegged at $1,999. As of this writing, Asus has not shed any light on the pricing details of Zenbook Duo and Flip models.
