ASUS Vivobook OLED Laptops Launched Under Rs 50,000

For the past few years, we observed a revolution in the smartphone industry, with more and more smartphone manufacturers adopting OLED screen technology. The superior display technology trickled down from flagships to mid-range devices, and now you can get a smartphone with an OLED display for as low as ₹13,000. On the other hand, the laptop market hasn’t warmed up to the idea yet, reserving the OLED panels for only the expensive laptops. However, ASUS, the Taiwanese computer hardware manufacturer is attempting to revolutionise the laptop market by offering OLED laptops at affordable prices. It has now launched its new ASUS Vivobook K15 OLED series of laptops, which come powered by Intel’s latest 11th Generation Core series processors and AMD’s Ryzen 5000 processor.  

ASUS Vivobook K15 OLED Features And Specifications

The ASUS Vivobook K15 OLED laptops come with a fairly slim polycarbonate build and weigh about 1.7kgs. The keyboard is backlit and comes with a number pad while the ‘Enter’ key gets a neon green accent. The touchpad comes embedded with a fingerprint sensor for biometrics.

The laptop comes with a 15.6-inch OLED NanoEdge display with Full HD resolution, which covers 100% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut and displays up to 1.07 billion colours. The display’s peak brightness can reach up to 600 nits, which is a massive improvement over LCD displays which offer up to 300 nits. It is certified by TÜV Rheinland, which blocks up to 70% of harmful blue light. For people working in creative fields, the display offers colour accuracy certification from PANTONE LLC.

Other noteworthy features include Harmon Kardon tuned stereo speakers, a fast display response time of just 0.2ms, Wi-Fi 6, USB Type-A ports, a USB Type-C port, and an HDMI port. The notebook runs Windows 10 Home with a free upgrade to Windows 11. You can opt from Intel Core i3, Intel Core Core i5, Intel Core i7, or AMD Ryzen 5000 processor variants. It comes equipped with up to 16 GB of DDR4 RAM and options of either of NVMe SSD storage up to 512GB or an optical hard drive of 1 TB capacity. This workhorse is powered with a 42Wh 3-cell Li-ion battery under its hood. The laptop come in Indie Black, Futuristic Transparent Silver, and Hearty Gold colour options.
