Even since the pandemic was declared and the work-from-home policy was suddenly introduced, a lot of professionals have been stuck at their homes with their dust-old monitors. Some people don’t even have a monitor, and they are dependent on their laptop screens. And we all know that working long hours using small-sized laptop screens isn’t good ergonomically and can have lasting effects on the body. Are you among those consumers who have been searching for a great monitor that doesn’t cost a lot but can help you with the current work-from-home situation?
We have carefully created the list of best monitors in India under ₹10,000. This list has been updated for 2021 and contains monitors that are great not only for work but also for multimedia consumption. So, without further ado, let dive right in!
How We Chose The Best Affordable Monitors in India That Are Priced Under ₹10,000
We looked for monitors that have ample screen size, an adequately high resolution for sharp text and graphics, decently high screen brightness and contrast ratio, at least two video ports, and a stable stand with at least tilt adjustment. Here’s what we preferred:
- Screen Size: At least a 22-inch screen but preferred the ones with 24-inch displays.
- Screen Panel Type and Resolution: We also made sure that these monitors have an IPS LCD panel and Full HD 1080p resolution (or higher). A combination of a 22-inch or 24-inch display with Full HD resolution means a great viewing experience, be it for productivity or entertainment. Such monitors allow you to place two windows side-by-side without the text getting fuzzy.
- Screen Brightness: We also looked for monitors with at least 250 nits of peak brightness for optimal viewing even under bright conditions.
- Refresh Rate: While 60Hz monitors are a norm, we tried to find monitors that have a higher than 60Hz refresh rate. We found a few monitors that have a 75Hz refresh rate with AMD FreeSync technology for a smoother motion.
- I/O Ports: We also preferred monitors that have at least two video ports, and among those, at least one should be an HDMI port.
- Brand & Warranty: We chose monitors that are from globally reputed and trusted brands like Acer, BenQ, Dell, HP, Lenovo, and LG. We also preferred monitors that come with a 3-year or longer warranty period.
