Are you looking to buy the best smartphone under ₹30,000? We’ve seen dozens of smartphones get launched in 2020, and as we approach the end of the year, we have decided to list the best smartphones under ₹30,000 in India. We have already listed the best smartphones under ₹10,000 and under ₹20,000 in our previous articles.
The premium smartphone category now starts from the sub-₹30,000 price segment, and some of the best phones come from brands like OnePlus, Realme, and Samsung. Unlike lower-priced mid-range phones in the sub-₹20,000 price segment, the best smartphones under ₹30,000 offer a premium design with metal builds, larger camera sensors, 4K 60fps video recording, fast charging, and flagship-grade processors.
Best Smartphones Under ₹30,000 in India
To choose the best smartphones under ₹30,000 in India, we’ve made sure that they have features like a Full HD+ screen (preferably AMOLED and high-refresh-rate), premium design, flagship-grade processors, big camera sensors, an ultrawide camera, 4K video recording, fast wireless connectivity, at least 4,000mAh battery, and fast charging technology.
1. Realme X2 Pro – ₹29,999 Onwards
According to us, the best smartphone under ₹30,000 in India is currently the Realme X2 Pro. It is the best smartphone for most people in the price category. It has a glass-and-aluminium build that looks great. You can enjoy watching videos on it, thanks to its 6.5-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED screen with a 90Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ video playback, and stereo speakers. It has a 3.5mm headphone jack, too, something that’s missing on many phones in the price range. The phone runs Android 10 with Realme UI, and it uses the Snapdragon 855+ processor, 6GB/8GB/12GB RAM, and 64GB/128GB/256GB storage.
The Realme X2 Pro features a 16MP selfie camera. Its quad-camera setup at the rear features a 64MP primary camera, 13MP 2x optical zoom telephoto camera, 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. It can record 4K 60fps videos using its 64MP sensor. It features a dual-SIM card slot, 4G LTE, GPS, Wi-Fi b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C port, and a fingerprint reader. Moreover, its 4,000mAh battery can be fast-charged within just 35 minutes using the bundled 50W SuperVOOC charger.
2. Realme X3 SuperZoom – ₹23,999 Onwards
The Realme X3 SuperZoom is yet another phone from Realme that deserves to be on the list of best smartphones under 30,000 in India. It lacks the OLED screen and 50W fast charging found on the Realme X2 Pro, but it makes up for it with the help of an IPS LCD screen that has a 120Hz refresh rate and an 8MP telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom. Its price is lower, too. At just ₹23,999, the Realme X3 SuperZoom offers a premium build with glass and metal and uses the Snapdragon 855+ processor, 8GB/12GB RAM, 128GB/256GB storage, and a 4,200mAh battery with 30W fast charging.
Realme has equipped the X3 SuperZoom with a 32MP+8MP dual-camera setup for selfies so that you can capture ultrawide-angle selfies. Its rear-facing quad-camera setup includes a 64MP wide-angle camera, 8MP 5x optical zoom camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP macro camera. Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint reader, dual-SIM card slot, 4G LTE, GPS, Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C port, and stereo speakers.
3. iQOO 3 – ₹29,990 Onwards
The iQOO 3 is a flagship-grade smartphone from Vivo’s iQOO brand. Except for the lack of a high-refresh-rate display, the iQOO 3 has every feature that we expect from the best phone under ₹30,000. It has a premium metal-and-glass build (with Gorilla Glass 6 on the front and back), a 6.44-inch Super AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and HDR10+, and a 4,400mAh battery with 55W fast charging. The phone runs Android 10 and uses the Snapdragon 865 processor, 8GB RAM, and 128GB/256GB storage.
In terms of imaging, the iQOO 3 makes use of a 48MP+13MP+13MP+2MP quad-camera setup on the rear and a 16MP front-facing camera. The phone has both ultrawide and telephoto cameras. Connectivity features of the phone include 4G LTE, dual-SIM card slot, GPS, Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, USB Type-C port, and a headphone jack. It has an under-display fingerprint reader and can record 4K 60fps videos using its 64MP camera sensor.
4. OnePlus Nord – ₹24,999 Onwards
The OnePlus Nord has been India’s best-selling mid-range smartphone, and it is for a reason. The phone offers decently fast performance and an AMOLED screen with a smooth 90Hz refresh rate. However, it has its downsides as well, which is why it is ranked at the fourth position in our list. It can record 4K 60fps videos using its front camera but using its rear-facing camera, which is very odd. Plus, its camera quality isn’t as good as other phones on this list.
This smartphone has a 6.44-inch Super AMOLED screen with a 90Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, and Full HD+ resolution. It uses the Snapdragon 765G processor, 6GB/8GB RAM, and 64GB/128GB internal storage. It has a 32MP+8MP dual-camera setup at the front for selfies. On the rear, it has 64MP primary camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera, a 5MP depth sensor, and a 2MP macro camera. There’s an under-display fingerprint reader, dual-SIM card slot, 4G, Wi-Fi b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, USB Type-C port, and a 4,110mAh battery with 30W fast charging.
5. Samsung Galaxy M51 – ₹24,999 Onwards
If you want a phone with extremely long battery life, then the Samsung Galaxy M51 could be the perfect phone for you. It has a massive, 7,000mAh battery that lasts two days on a single charge. Moreover, the phone also supports 25W USB PD-based fast charging, which means the phone can get fully charged within two hours. The Galaxy M51 sports a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED Plus display with Full HD+ resolution and Gorilla Glass 3+ protection. Unfortunately, it lacks a high-refresh-rate screen.
The Galaxy M51 runs Android 10 with One UI 2.5. It comes equipped with the Snapdragon 730G processor, 6GB/8GB RAM, 128GB storage, and a microSD card slot. Its front-facing camera has 32MP resolution, and the rear-facing quad-camera setup has a 64MP wide-angle camera, a 12MP ultrawide camera, a 5MP macro camera, and a 5MP depth camera. It features a dual-SIM card slot, 4G connectivity, Wi-Fi b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, USB Type-C port, headphone jack, and a side-mounted fingerprint reader.
So, these are the five best smartphones under ₹30,000 in India in the year 2020. All these phones have a good-looking and premium design, large screen with OLED or high-refresh-rate panel, fast processor, quad-camera setup with at least one big sensor, 4G with dual-SIM card slot, a USB Type-C port, and high-capacity batteries with fast charging.
