Evernote has updated its Android app with a fresh layout to suit the needs of Chromebook users. The app is typically used for organizing, task management, and archiving. It allows users to create notes in the form of text, drawings, photographs, audio, and saved web content. With the latest update, the Evernote Android app has now been tailored for Chromebook users with an all new design.
Let’s check out the improved layout of the Evernote app designed for Chromebook users and find out how it works.
Evernote For ChromeOS: Here’s How It Works
The updated Evernote design for ChromeOS highlights an improved Evernote Home layout that shows various cards such as notes, tasks, calendar, and pins. While you can see three columns in landscape mode, the portrait orientation shows only two columns. Notably, the mobile version of the app has only one column.

Further, there’s a cover image to greet you up top, while the bottom app bar comprising a drawer and search button features a centred oval floating action button (FAB) that’s themed green. In comparison, the desktop clients feature a side navigation drawer.
In addition to redesigning the app, the company also claims to have introduced improved menus that are cleaner and faster to access. In February, the app introduced new widgets to let users see tasks, shortcuts, and notes on their homescreen.
Evernote first started optimizing its Android app for large screens back in 2020. The work continues with the latest Chromebook update. If you are a Chromebook user, you can now update the Evernote app to the latest 10.30.1 version via Google Play Store.
