Garmin has launched a new fitness tracker, dubbed the Garmin Vivosmart 5, in the global market. The Garmin Vivosmart 5 features a large OLED display, a seven-day claimed battery life, and various health monitoring features. The fitness tracker is currently available in the global markets, but the brand is yet to reveal details about the India launch of the Garmin Vivosmart 5. As for the global market, it is up for grabs and interested buyers can get their hands on the tracker via the company’s official website. It will also hit the shelves at other retailers in the next couple of weeks.
Garmin Vivosmart 5 Specifications, Features
The Garmin Vivosmart 5 comes in small/medium and large sizes. While the small/medium size measures 19.5 × 10.7 × 217 mm, the large size measures 19.5 × 10.7 × 255 mm. The device has a 0.41-inch x 0.73-inch OLED display with a resolution of 88 × 154 pixels. The small/medium size of the Garmin Vivosmart 5 weighs 24.5g, while the large size weighs 26.5g. The fitness tracker is made up of polycarbonate material.
Coming to the features, Garmin’s latest offering comes with a plethora of health monitoring features, including wrist-based heart-rate, daily resting heart-rate, abnormal heart-rate alerts, respiration rate, pulse OX blood oxygen saturation, fitness age, body battery energy monitor, all-day stress, relaxation reminders, relaxation breathing times, sleep monitoring, sleep score and insights, hydration reminders, and women’s health.

The tracker comes with a heart-rate monitor, an accelerometer, an ambient light sensor, and a pulse OX blood oxygen saturation monitor. It also features smart notifications, text response, reject phone call feature, connected GPS, calendar, weather alerts, music control, find my phone, find my watch, and a lot more.
The Garmin Vivosmart 5 has a lot in store for outdoor activities too, as it comes with features such as step counter, move bar, auto goal, calories burned, distance traveled, intensity minutes, and more. It also has training, planning, and analysis features like HR Zones, HR alerts, HR calories, V02 Max, interval training, and GPS speed and distance.
