Today, Gigabyte unveiled a number of gaming laptops under the Aorus and Aero lines. The Gigabyte Aero 16 and Aero 5 are intended for interactive content makers, with AMOLED screens and stylish designs, while the new Gigabyte Aorus 15 and Aorus 5 are targeted at gamers who seek top-tier hardware and performance in compact devices. Both of these laptops come in a variety of SKUs with Nvidia GeForce RTX 3000-series GPUs and 12th Gen Intel Core CPUs.

The usage of DDR4 and DDR5 RAM is the only distinction between them on Gigabyte’s specification sheets. Both of these laptops include a 15.6-inch 2560×1440 165Hz LCD panel, an Intel Core i7-12700H processor, 16GB of RAM, and a 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD.
Other specifications of the laptops include Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 Ti GPU, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, USB 3.2 Gen1 (5Gbps), Thunderbolt 4, per-key RGB keyboard backlighting, stereo speakers, and an HD webcam. They also get a sizeable 99Wh battery with a 240W power adapter.
The Aorus 5, on the other hand, comes in Aorus 5 KE4 and SE4 models. They pack a 15.6-inch 1920x1080px LCD panel with a 240Hz refresh rate and are powered by the 12th Gen Intel Core i7-12700H CPU along with 16GB of DDR4 RAM and 1TB SSD.
The Aorus 5 KE4 gets a GeForce RTX 3060 GPU while the SE5 model comes with the GeForce RTX 3070 GPU out of the box. Other specifications on the laptops include Thunderbolt 4 port, USB 3.2 Gen1 ports, dual speakers, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, Windows 11, and a three-zone RGB keyboard.
Gigabyte Aero 16, Aero 5 Specifications
The Gigabyte Aero 16 has been designed keeping content creators in mind and it comes in three models—the Aero 16 YE5, Aero 16 XE5, and Aero 16 KE5. All three of them pack a 16-inch 16:10 3840×2400-pixel AMOLED panel with 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut coverage and HDR certification out of the box. You get 32GB of DDR5 RAM and a 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD across all variants.
The laptops get an Nvidia GeForce 3060, 3070 Ti, or 3080 Ti GPU and are powered by either a Core i7-12700H or Core i9-12900HK CPU, depending on the configuration you select. Dual Thunderbolt 4 ports, a white backlit keyboard, USB-PD charging, stereo speakers, an HD camera, Wi-Fi 6E, and Bluetooth 5.2 are among the other features.
The Gigabyte Aero 5 is being offered in two variants—the Aero 5 XE4 and the Aero 5 KE4. Both models come with a 16-inch 4K AMOLED panel and are powered by the 12th Gen Intel Core i7-12700H CPU with either a GeForce RTX 3070 Ti or 3060, depending on the model.
Other features on the laptops include 16GB of DDR4 RAM and a 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, stereo speakers, an HD webcam, and a white backlit keyboard.
Pricing And Availability
The Aorus 15 XE4 and Aorus 15 XE5 have been listed on Amazon India, priced at ₹2,09,890 and ₹2,12,890 respectively. Meanwhile the Aorus 5 KE4 is priced at ₹1,40,890 and the Aorus 5 SE4 costs ₹1,67,890.
Pricing information for the Aero 16 YE5, Aero 16 XE5, and Aero 16 KE5 are yet to be revealed. The Gigabyte Aero 5 XE4 and Aero 5 KE4 are priced at ₹2,11,890 and ₹1,69,890 respectively and will be on sale shortly.
