Google is ready with some exclusive Android features for the newly launched Samsung’s Galaxy S22 series of smartphones and the Galaxy Tab S8 series. Google Duo will get a live sharing feature. The aforementioned device users can utilise the service to collaborate and view notes, images, videos, and a lot more. This functionality will only be available in Google Duo and will be compatible with a few other apps. Samsung’s Notes, Gallery, Google Maps, and Google’s Jamboard will be supported. Also, users will be able to share and watch YouTube videos together with the other participants. Google will soon allow users to preview the shared YouTube videos within the Google Messages app. This would be a neat addition as the users can view the video without needing to visit the YouTube app. This is something that we have already seen in some other instant messaging apps.
The live sharing feature will only be available on the aforementioned Galaxy smartphones, Galaxy tablets, and Google’s own Pixel devices. Users with these devices will have the ability to host the live sharing calls, whereas other Android device users will have limited functionality. Other users can’t host a call, but will be allowed to join the call.
