Google has finally rolled out the final update for its Pixel 3 and 3 XL smartphones. The update was scheduled for the first quarter of 2022 in November. Google will provide more patches for its devices, which will be rolled out in February.

The last update by the company for the Pixel 3 series was rolled out in January, which came with the October security patch. The update was released to address the emergency calling-Microsoft Teams issue. The latest update is labelled as “Feb 2022”.

There are two builds, with Australian carriers Telstra, Optus, and Vodafone getting their own version:
- Pixel 3 XL: Android 12 — SP1A.210812.016.B1 (Telstra, Optus, Vodafone AU), SP1A.210812.016.C1 — Factory Image (2) — OTA (2)
- Pixel 3: Android 12 — SP1A.210812.016.B1 (Telstra, Optus, Vodafone AU), SP1A.210812.016.C1 — Factory Image (2) — OTA (2)
The Q1 2022 timing by Google could not line up with Android 12L, as speculated. The Pixel 3a and 3a XL smartphones, which remain eligible for the Beta Program, will receive an update to the latest version of Android.
