Google has revealed the Pixel 6a, their next low-cost smartphone, at their Google I/O event. The phone has been a long time coming, and it brings Google’s new design language as well as their flagship bespoke Tensor CPU at a cheaper price point. Pixel enthusiasts in India have been anticipating a lot of features from this smartphone, and it appears that Google may not disappoint.

It is powered by Google’s Tensor SoC, which supports 5G SA/NSA, and it also has an additional Titan M2 Security chip. The smartphone comes in a single model with 6GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB of UFS3.1 internal storage.
The Pixel 6a has a dual rear camera arrangement with a 12.2MP (f/1.7) main sensor, OIS, and a secondary 12MP 107° Ultra-wide sensor. On the front, we can see an 8MP selfie camera. The device has a 3D thermoformed composite back cover, an IP67 water resistance rating, a 4,306mAh battery, 18W fast charging, an in-display fingerprint scanner, and Android 12 out-of-the-box with five years of security upgrades and three OS updates.
Google Pixel 6a Price And Availability
The Google Pixel 6a is available in charcoal, chalk, and sage colour options. It is priced at $449 (₹34,900 approx.) and will be available for pre-order in the United States starting July 21. The phone will begin shipping starting July 28.
The Pixel 6a will be available in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Puerto Rico, Singapore, Spain, Taiwan, and the United Kingdom in the near future. Google India says the smartphone will also be available in India later this year.
