Google Pixel 6a Price In India Leaked Ahead Of Launch

Google, back in May, announced the Google Pixel 6a at the Google I/O event. The Google Pixel 6a is expected to launch in the coming weeks in the Indian market. Ahead of the launch, an Indian YouTuber, Sahil Karoul, has now revealed the Pixel 6a price. As per the leaked information, the Google Pixel 6a box price in India will be ₹43,999. This is a significant price jump compared to the Pixel 4a which was launched for ₹31,999 back in October 2020.

The Pixel 6a features a 6.1-inch OLED display with a Full HD+ (1080 × 2400 pixel) resolution, 429ppi pixel density, and a 20:9 aspect ratio. It has a standard 60Hz refresh rate panel that offers a 10,00,000:1 contrast ratio and HDR support. The display features an in-display fingerprint scanner and is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 layer.

Powering the Google Pixel 6a is an octa-core Tensor chip that brings with it an integrated Titan M2 security chip and a Mali G78 GPU. It comes paired with 6GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.1 storage. The handset boots Android 12 and is eligible for three Android OS upgrades.

For photography, the Pixel 6a relies on a dual-rear camera setup that includes a 12.2MP primary sensor with 77° field of view and an F1.7 aperture. Accompanying it is another 12MP sensor with ultra-wide functionality, 114° field of view, and an F2.2 aperture. The smartphone packs an 8MP selfie shooter with an 84° field of view and an F2.0 aperture.

The Pixel 6a is fuelled by a 4,410mAh battery unit and supports 18W fast charging. It packs a USB Type-C 3.1 port for charging and data transfer. The smartphone offers a stereo speaker setup but lacks a 3.5mm audio jack. The handset is IP67 rated which makes it water and dust-resistant.

The mid-range Pixel smartphone comes in three colour options—Sage, Charcoal, and Chalk. It is not clear if the brand will launch all three colour variants in the Indian market. The handset weighs 178 grams and measures 152.2 × 71.8 × 8.9mm. Connectivity options of the Pixel 6a include dual-SIM (nano + eSIM), 5G, Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) and 6E (6GHz), Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, GPS, Glonass, and Galileo.

The Pixel 6a is priced at $449 (around ₹35,900) and will be available for pre-order starting July 21, 2022 in the US. It is expected to launch soon in India.
