Honor X40 With 6.67-inch Display, Snapdragon 695 Processor, 5100mAh Battery Announced: Pricing, Specs

Honor has launched a new mid-range 5G smartphone, dubbed the Honor X40, in China today. The brand had earlier introduced the Honor X40i under its X series back in July 2022. The smartphone features a MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor, a 4,000mAh battery, and 50MP dual cameras. The new Honor X40 sports a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 processor, a 5,100mAh battery, 50MP dual cameras, and a 6.55-inch FHD+ 120Hz 45-degree curved AMOLED screen, among other features. Let us take a closer look at the pricing, features, and specifications of the newly launched Honor X40 smartphone.

Honor X40 Price, Availability

In China, the Honor X40 pricing starts at 1,499 yuan (roughly ₹17,101) for the 6GB+128GB storage variant, while the 8GB+128GB model of the smartphone is priced at 1,699 yuan (roughly ₹19,385). The 8GB+256B variant costs 1,999 yuan (roughly ₹23,675), whereas the top-end 12GB+256GB model retails for 2,299 yuan (roughly ₹26,231).

The Honor X40 comes in silver, green, and black colour options. The smartphone is available for pre-order and will go on sale starting from September 23, 2022 in China.

Honor X40 Features, Specifications

The Honor X40 features a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen that offers a 2,400×1,080 pixel resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and 800 nits brightness. Powering the smartphone is an octa-core Snapdragon 695 processor, which is paired with up to 12GB of RAM along with 7GB of virtual RAM and 256GB of internal storage. In terms of software, the Honor X40 boots Android 12 with Magic UI 6.1 out of the box.

For photography, the smartphone offers a dual-camera setup with a 50MP main camera with f/1.8 aperture and a 2MP secondary sensor with f/2.4 aperture. The new Honor device features an 8MP front camera for selfies and video calling. Coming to the battery of the device, the Honor X40 is backed by a 5,100mAh battery unit with 40W fast charging support.

In terms of connectivity, the smartphone offers 5G SA / NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, GLONASS, Beidou, and USB 2.0. Other primary features on the device include an in-display fingerprint sensor, Type C audio, and HONOR Histen 7.0 sound effect. The company claims that the X40 has a self-developed dual MIC noise reduction technology that will eliminate ambient noise while improving the voice quality during calls. Coming to dimensions, the handset measures 162.9×74.5×7.43mm and weighs around 175 grams.
