Honor has launched a new smartphone, dubbed the Honor X40i in China today. The new smartphone comes as a successor to the Honor X30i, which was introduced last year. The Honor X40i features a Dimensity 700 processor, 40W fast charging support, and 50MP dual rear cameras, among other features. Honor X40i Pricing, Availability

The Honor X40i is launched in three storage variants. The 8GB+128GB variant of the device is priced at CNY 1,599 (approx. ₹18,950), while the 8GB+256GB model of the smartphone retails for CNY 1,799 (approx. ₹21,300). The top of the line 12GB+256GB variant of the Honor X40i sells for CNY 1,999 (approx. ₹23,700). The smartphone is available in four colour options: Pink, Silver, Green, and Black.

Honor X40i Features, Specifications

Starting with the display, the Honor X40i features a 6.7-inch LTPS LCD panel that supports Full HD+ resolution of 1,080×2,388 pixels. The screen-to-body ratio of the device is 93.6%. Powering the device is a Dimensity 700 processor, which is paired with up to 12GB of RAM, up to 5GB of virtual RAM, and up to 256GB of internal storage. In terms of software, the Honor X40i boots Android 12.0 based on Magic UI 6.1 out of the box.

For photography, the Honor X40i offers a dual camera setup, including a 50MP main camera and a 2MP depth sensor. The camera module features a unique design with two camera rings intersecting each other. The new Honor smartphone relies on an 8MP front camera for selfies and video calls.

Coming to the battery of the device, the Honor X40i is backed by a 4,000mAh battery unit with support for 40W fast charging. In terms of connectivity, the smartphone features Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, and a USB-C port. For security, the smartphone comes equipped with a side-facing fingerprint scanner and an AI face unlock mechanism.
