Honor X8 With 6.7-Inch 90Hz Display, Snapdragon 680 Processor Launched: Price, Specifications

The Honor X8 is the Chinese company’s latest mid-tier smartphone. It has introduced the handset in the UAE market, adding it to the lineup of X-series smartphones. The Honor X8 packs in a large LCD display, octa-core Snapdragon chipset, a sleek design, quad cameras, and SuperCharge charging, among other features. 

Honor X8: Features, Specifications

The Honor X8 flaunts a premium-looking design and is very slim with a thickness of just 7.45mm. The rear camera array is iPhone-esque, but with four sensors. The sides are also flat like the latest iPhones. It flaunts a large 6.7-inch Full HD+ LCD with a 90Hz refresh rate and 2.5D curved glass. The bezels surrounding the screen are minimal as it comes with a 93.6% screen-to-body ratio.  

The Honor X8 is powered by Qualcomm’s octa-core Snapdragon 680 chipset based on the 6nm fabrication process. It is equipped with up to 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage. The Turbo RAM expansion feature offers 2GB of extra RAM but utilises some storage space. 

In the camera department, the handset comes with a 64MP primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture. The ancillary cameras include a 5MP ultra-wide sensor with an f/2.2 aperture, 2MP depth, and a 2MP macro shooter. For selfie addicts, there’s a 16MP snapper with f/2.0 aperture housed in the centrally aligned hole punch cut-out on the display. 

Some noteworthy features include dual 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS + GLONASS, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. It is powered by a 4000mAh battery under its hood, coupled with 22.5-watt Honor SuperCharge fast charging tech. The company claims three hours of video playback with just 10 minutes of charging. The handset runs on Android 11 with Magic UI 4.2 skin on top of it. 

Honor X8: Price, Availability

The HONOR X8 comes with a price tag of 949 Riyals (approx. ₹19,500) in the UAE. It will be available for pre-order from March 17 in the country. Buyers who pre-order stand a chance to win Honor Choice Earbuds X, Bluetooth speaker, Thermos Vaccum Cup, and a ring holder. The Honor X8 comes in Titanium Silver, Midnight Black and Ocean Blue colourways.
