On top of debuting its first-ever all-in-one PC, the Huawei MateStation X, Huawei has unveiled two laptops—the MateBook X Pro 2022 and the MateBook E 2022 at the Mobile World Congress (MWC). The new laptops announced for the global market were first launched for the Chinese market back in December. Both machines feature 11th Generation Intel CPUs and run Windows 11 Home Edition out of the box.
Let’s take a closer look at the pricing, features, and specifications of the Huawei MateBook X Pro 2022 and MateBook E 2022 and find out what they have in store for us.
MateBook X Pro 2022 And MateBook E 2022: Pricing, Availability
The Huawei MateBook X Pro 2022 comes with a price tag of €1899 (around $2121/ ₹1,59,965) and is available in Space Grey for the single 16GB+1TB variant.
The Huawei MateBook E 2022 comes in Nebula Grey and is priced at €649 (roughly $725/ ₹54,655) for i3, 8GB+128GB storage variant and €999 (roughly $1,115 / ₹84,130) for i5, 8GB+256GB model.
The i5, 16GB+512GB variant of the Huawei MateBook E 2022 will retail for €1199 (around $1,339 / ₹1,00,902) and the top-of-the-line i7, 16GB+512GB variant is priced at €1399 (around $1,560 /₹1,17,735).
Both laptop models will be up for sale in the European market soon. There is no word on the India launch of the Huawei MateBook X Pro 2022 and MateBook E 2022 so far.
Huawei MateBook X Pro 2022 Specifications, Features
The new Huawei MateBook X Pro 2022 features a 14.2-inch FullView touch display with a 3120×2080 pixel resolution that delivers a 90Hz refresh rate and 500 nits of peak brightness. Further, the display comes with a Smart Brightness Feature for Dynamic brightness adjustment to ambient light conditions and offers P3 and sRGB dual colour gamut.
The laptop is powered by the 11th gen Intel Core i7 Tiger Lake-U processors with Intel Iris Xe Graphics paired with 16GB RAM and 1TB NVMe PCIe SSD. The machine runs Windows 11 Home Edition out of the box and offers 3 hours of use with a mere 15 minutes of charging. According to the company, the new dual Shark Fin fan cooling system utilized in the laptop will double its performance by improving its heat dissipation efficiency.
On the connectivity front, the Huawei MateBook X Pro 2022 has Wi-Fi 802.11ax 160 MHz, Bluetooth 5.1, USB-C x 4 (support data, charging, and DisplayPort), a 3.5 mm headset, and a microphone 2-in-1 jack. With 100 percent detection coverage, the trackpad of the device supports six easy gestures, including knuckle-tap to take screenshots and swipe to adjust the volume. There is a power button that doubles as a fingerprint scanner.

In the sound department, the Huawei MateBook X Pro 2022 uses Huawei Sound 6 Speakers and split-frequency setup for immersive surround sound effects. Further, the quad microphones offer AI Noise Cancellation and 5-metre 360° voice pickup. Users will get a 720P HD webcam for video calling. Coming to the dimensions, the Huawei MateBook X Pro 2022 measures 310 x 221 x 15.5mm and weighs around 1.38kg.
MateBook E 2022 Specifications, Features
The newly launched Huawei MateBook E 2022 flaunts a 12.6-inch OLED 10-point multi-touch display with 2560×1600 pixel resolution. The display offers a DCI-P3 wide colour gamut and 600 nits of peak brightness. Much like the Huawei MateBook X Pro, the machine runs Windows 11 Home Edition and features a power button embossed with a fingerprint sensor.
Under the hood, the Huawei MateBook E 2022 packs an 11th Generation Intel Core i3 / i5 / i7 processor with Intel UHD / Intel Iris Xe Graphics coupled with up to 16GB LPDDR4x RAM, and up to 512GB NVMe PCIe SSD. With a 65W charging capacity, the device can be charged up to 54 percent in 30 minutes and takes 90 minutes to fully charge.
Furthermore, the Huawei MateBook E 2022 comes with an M-Pencil (2nd generation) that boasts of a platinum-coated nib with a transparent tip design. The pencil supports tilt writing and 2ms latency. When attached to the tablet, the pencil can be charged wirelessly to last for 10 hours on a full charge.
For connectivity, the laptop gets Wi-Fi 6 802.11 ax (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth 5.1, USB-C x 1 (Thunderbolt 4, supports charging, data transfer, and DisplayPort) support. There is a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera for video calling and capturing. Plus, the device is equipped with quad speakers and quad microphones with AI noise reduction to provide a rich sound experience. Coming to the dimensions, the Huawei MateBook E 2022 measures 286.5 x 184.7 x 7.99 mm and weighs in at 709g.
