Not too long ago, Infinix unveiled its Infinix Zero 5G smartphone in India. The Infinix Zero 5G comes with a 6.78-inch 120Hz refresh rate display, a Dimensity 900 processor, a 5,000mAh battery, and a 48MP main rear camera. While the specifications of the device with respect to its price appear to be promising, the fact that it boots Android 11 out of the box sticks out as an eyesore. The brand has finally acknowledged this and has confirmed that the Infinix Zero 5G will receive the latest Android 12 OS, albeit a little later this year.

According to Kapoor, the Infinix Zero 5G will receive the Android 12 update sometime in August 2022. He did not explicitly mention whether the update will be a stable update or whether the brand will start rolling out the beta build in August. In any case, the device will start receiving the latest Android OS in August this year.

Starting with the display of the device, the Infinix Zero 5G sports a 6.78-inch FHD+ 2,460 x 1,080 pixel resolution display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 240Hz touch sampling rate, and up to 500 nits brightness. Under the hood, the device comes equipped with an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 900 processor, which is paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.
For optics, the Infinix Zero 5G sports a 48MP main camera, a 13MP telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom and up to 30x digital zoom, and a 2MP depth sensor. At the front, the Infinix Zero 5G houses a 16MP selfie snapper. Coming to the battery of the device, the Infinix Zero 5G features a 5,000mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging. As far as pricing goes, the Infinix Zero 5G is priced at ₹19,999 in India.
