According to reputable Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max may be the only models in the next iPhone lineup to include the new A16 Bionic processor. With the iPhone 14 lineup, Apple may depart from its well-established trend of equipping all-new phones with the latest A-series chip.
According to a fresh report, due to the revised design, the iPhone 14 Pro models may have a taller screen aspect ratio due to a punch-hole + pill-shaped design. The company is also said to be working on satellite-powered emergency calling services.
Non-iPhone Pro Models Will Still Continue To Use 60Hz Displays
Apple is preparing to phase out the iPhone Mini model with the iPhone 14 series, according to a new rumour from 9to5Mac. Rather than an iPhone 14 Mini, Apple will release a conventional iPhone 14 Max model with a 6.7-inch display, and it will be a less expensive version of the iPhone 14 Pro Max. The Pro models may even be a little taller to suit the punch-hole + pill-shaped cutout for the Face ID system.
The new iPhone 14 could come in two sizes: 6.1 inches (D27) and 6.7 inches (D28). The display resolution of these phones could be the same as that of the current iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max. The display of the flagship iPhones 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max, on the other hand, maybe significantly taller. D73 and D74 are the codenames for the two iPhone 14 Pro models.
According to 9to5Mac’s sources, two new iPhone 14 models will be powered by the current-generation A15 processor, while two others will contain a totally new chip, possibly named A16 Bionic.
The company is also reportedly still working on a satellite-powered emergency calling feature for the iPhone. Internally, the system is referred to as “Stewie.” Although 9to5Mac reports that it’s uncertain whether the technology will be ready in time for this year’s iPhone.
