iQOO has been on an onslaught recently after a slow Indian debut back in COVID-19 ridden 2020. Now, its portfolio consists of smartphones in the mid-range, upper mid-range, and flagship categories. It recently launched the iQOO 9 series—comprising the iQOO 9 SE, iQOO 9, and iQOO 9 Pro in the Indian market. The cheapest of the lot, the iQOO 9 SE will go on sale for the first time tomorrow, March 8. The iQOO 9 SE is the rebranded iQOO Neo 5S of China and packs in a Snapdragon processor, AMOLED display, 48MP camera with OIS, 5G, fast charging, and more.

iQOO 9 SE buyers get access to the iQOO premium service program, which covers accidental and liquid damage protection. They can also visit the service centre for a free cover and a screen protector.

iQOO 9 SE: Features, Specifications
The iQOO 9 SE sports the same 6.62-inch AMOLED Full HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate as last year’s iQOO 7 and iQOO 7 Legend. To enhance gaming, the display gets a 300Hz touch sampling rate and a 1000Hz instant touch response. The display can achieve a peak brightness of 1300 nits and gets HDR10+ certification. There are minimum bezels surrounding the screen and it gets a centred punch-hole camera cutout.
The iQOO 9 SE is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor built on the 5nm fabrication process. It is equipped with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage.
In the camera department, it comes with a 48MP Sony IMX598 with f/1.8 aperture and optical image stabilisation. The ancillary cameras include a 13MP ultra-wide snapper, a 120° field of view, and a 2MP mono sensor. The selfie duties are handled by the 16MP front-facing camera.
Notable features of the iQOO 9 SE include a Z-axis linear vibration motor, Ultra Game Mode, full coverage vapour cooling tech, 4D game vibration feedback, and MEMC, among others. It is powered by a 4,500mAh battery under its hood coupled with 66W fast charging support. It runs on the Android 12 operating system. You can buy it in Sunset Sierra and Space Fusion colours.
