Vivo’s sub-brand iQOO has launched the successor to the iQOO Z3—iQOO Z5—in China. The iQOO Z5 flaunts a 6.67-inch display with Full HD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, 650 nits brightness, and HDR10 support. The device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G chipset. It packs up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The smartphone has a triple-camera setup on the rear, and it consists of a 64MP primary camera. The other features of the iQOO Z5 include a 16MP selfie camera, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and a 5,000mAh battery with 44W fast charging support.

The variant with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage costs CNY 2,099 (around ₹23,900). The top-end variant with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage is priced at CNY 2,299 (around ₹26,200). The iQOO Z5 will launch in India on September 7, 2021. The iQOO Z5 comes in three colour variants: Dark Blue, Gradient Blue, and White. The iQOO Z5 features a 6.67-inch IPS LCD display with a Full HD+ resolution (2,400 × 1,080 pixels), an aspect ratio of 20:9, 120Hz refresh rate, 600 nits brightness, a 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut coverage, DC dimming, and HDR10 support. It has a punch-hole-shaped cutout to accommodate the selfie camera. The iQOO Z5 is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G processor. The smartphone packs up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB UFS 3.1 internal storage. The device also has a vapour chamber cooling area of 28837mm² to reduce the temperature of the handset down by up to 12°C under load. On the software front, the iQOO Z5 runs Android 11 out of the box with OriginOS 1.0 on top.
The smartphone features a 64MP triple-camera setup at the rear. There is a 64MP main camera with an F1.79 aperture. The rear camera setup also includes an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP macro camera. For capturing selfies, the phone uses a 16MP front-facing camera. The device also has a side-mounted fingerprint reader that is embedded into the power button. The iQOO Z5 measures 164.70 × 76.68 × 8.48mm and weighs 193 grammes.
The iQOO Z5 has a dual-SIM card slot, 5G (SA/NSA), dual-4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, a USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The smartphone also has stereo speakers and Hi-Res Audio support. The iQOO Z5 is powered by a 5,000mAh battery and supports 44W fast charging.
