iQOO, a sub-brand of Vivo, famous for its gaming-centric smartphones will be introducing its iQOO Z6 series of smartphones in China. The iQOO Z6 series comprises mid-range and premium mid-range categories of smartphones. The brand announced via Weibo, a Chinese microblogging website, that the iQOO Z6 series launch event would be happening on August 25, 2022 in China.
Usually, Chinese manufacturers launch a new device in their home market to test the waters and later introduce it to the global markets. But, iQOO launched its iQOO Z6 Pro, iQOO Z6 5G, and iQOO Z6 44W in India ahead of China. However, some leaks and rumours suggest that the devices will get different internals compared to the Indian models.

The iQOO Z6 is expected to be the more powerful and feature-loaded of the two. iQOO has also shared some images of the device, revealing some key details of its design and camera. iQOO Z6, iQOO Z6x: Features (Rumoured)
Both the iQOO Z6 and the iQOO Z6x could sport a similar design. Going by the images, the devices are confirmed to arrive in blue, orange, and black colour options. The rear design is similar to the iQOO Z6 series of smartphones in India. The camera island also looks identical with a few changes. The smartphone in the images, believed to be the iQOO Z6, is equipped with triple rear cameras and gets OIS, a feature which is missing on the India-spec models.
As per leaks, the iQOO Z6 will come with an IPS LCD panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. It will be powered by a Snapdragon 778G+ chipset, which is an improved version of the Snapdragon 778G in the India-spec iQOO Z6 Pro. The device will be equipped with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. The iQOO Z6 will come with 80W fast charging support.
Not much is known about the iQOO Z6x at the moment. From the little information that we have, it is set to be built along the lines of the iQOO Z6 44W and will come with a 44W fast charging support. It could be equipped with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The iQOO Z6 is up for pre-order on Vivo China’s website and JD mall. iQOO might add the iQOO Z6 to its lineup in India, albeit with a different name.
