Jabra has announced its latest iteration of true wireless earbuds, dubbed the Jabra Elite 5. The newly launched TWS earbuds have Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation and come powered by the Qualcomm QCC3050 Bluetooth SoC. The Elite 5 also offers support for Qualcomm aptX Audio, AAC, and SBC codecs, Google Fast Pair, Microsoft Swift Pair, Google Assistant, and Alexa. Jabra Elite 5 Specifications, Features
The Jabra Elite 5 earbuds are equipped with fine-tuned 6mm speakers. As mentioned above, these earbuds offer Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation support, which utilises feedback microphones on the inside of the ear, and feedforward microphones on the outside. Jabra claims that the ANC feature works no matter how you position the buds in the ear, thereby offering more reliable noise cancellation across a wider range of frequencies.
The earbuds also support Google Fast Pair, Microsoft Swift Pair and they can connect to two devices simultaneously with Bluetooth Multipoint connectivity. Furthermore, the earbuds have 6-mic call technology, wind noise reduction, Google Assistant and Alexa voice assistant support. The earbuds are IP55-rated for durability against dust and water. Jabra adds that it has partnered with Spotify to offer Spotify Tap Playback.
As for the battery life, the Elite 5 can reportedly last for seven hours with ANC turned on and nine hours when ANC is not in use. With the charging case, users can purportedly get around 28 hours of battery life. The earbuds also have customizable EQ, Bluetooth v5.2, and wireless charging support. Lastly, the earbuds support Bluetooth profiles such as A2DP v1.3, AVRCP v1.6, HFP v1.8, HSP v1.2 and have AAC, Qualcomm® aptX, and SBC codec support.
