Reliance Jio is diversifying its business, and in an effort to strengthen its streaming box ecosystem, the company today unveiled its first branded gaming controller. The controller is intended to be used in conjunction with their streaming box in order to access the Jio Games service. The Jio Game Controller has a standard 20-button layout with two analog sticks, just like Microsoft’s Xbox controller.
A wide range of Bluetooth-enabled devices is compatible with the Jio Game Controller. It’s worth mentioning, though, that the wireless game controller isn’t compatible with PlayStation and Xbox gaming consoles. Continue reading to learn more about what the device has to offer right out of the box.
Jio Gaming Controller Specifications
The Jio Gaming Controller has a classic design that looks a lot like the Xbox controllers from Microsoft. The Jio controller weighs 200 grams and has dimensions of 153 x 58 x 110mm. For an immersive gaming experience, it has two vibration motors with haptic control and two pressure-point triggers. On the left and right sides, there are eight direction arrow buttons and two joysticks respectively. The action buttons on the controller are colour-coordinated for ease of use.
A Jio button, select, start, back, home, and TV key are also included on the controller. With a wireless range of up to 10 metres, the Jio Gaming Controller is compatible with Android tablets and smart TVs. However, for a better gaming experience, the company recommends pairing it with a Jio Set-Top-Box, which was released back in 2019. For a low latency experience, the wireless controller supports Bluetooth 4.1 connectivity. It has a Micro USB port on the back for charging and a built-in Li-ion battery that lasts for eight hours.
Jio Gaming Controller Price
The Jio Gaming Controller costs ₹3,499 and is available in Matte Black. You can purchase it directly from Jio’s official website.
