However, to please enraged customers, Jio is offering a two-day complimentary data plan for those who were affected. Apparently, the data plan varies according to the region or user. Some reports suggest that Jio is offering unlimited data for a period of two days. However, users in the Mumbai circle got 1.5GB/daily for two days. Along with the data benefits it is offering unlimited voice calls and 100 SMS/daily.
To check whether you have received the complimentary data pack, open the MyJio app > View plan details > Upcoming. Here, you will be able to see the exact details of the data pack. Once activated, it will extend your current data pack by two days.
Whenever there is such a downtime due to maintenance or other reasons, Jio is known to offer data packs to please its customers. Usually, it offers double data benefits, meaning if your plan is 2GB/Day, it would be doubled to 4GB/Day for a period of one to four days. However, this time due to the severity of the issue, the telecom operator seems to be giving away unlimited data benefits.
