Lava made a comeback in the Indian market with its Z-series smartphones earlier this year. The brand has now launched its first-ever 5G smartphone: Lava Agni 5G. In fact, it is the first 5G smartphone from an Indian brand. The Lava Agni 5G comes equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 810 processor, a 90Hz refresh rate display, and a 5,000mAh battery. It will compete against the likes of the POCO M3 Pro 5G, Realme 8S 5G, Realme Narzo 30 Pro 5G, and the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10T 5G. Users who pre-book the smartphone on or before November 17, 2021, will get a ₹2,000 discount. To pre-book the Lava Agni, users need to head over to the brand’s official online store and make a payment of ₹500 after which they will receive a ₹2,500 discount coupon. This ₹2,500 discount can be availed while purchasing the handset.

Lava Agni 5G: Features and Specifications
The Lava Agni 5G sports a 6.78-inch LCD display panel with Full HD+ resolution (2,460 x 1,080 pixels) and a 90Hz refresh rate. The display is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and features a centered-punch-hole-shaped cutout to house the front-facing camera.
The Agni 5G is equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 810 octa-core processor that is fabbed on TSMC’s 6nm process, features the Mali-G57 MC2 GPU, and brings 5G connectivity to the table. The handset features 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB storage. Users will have an option to expand the storage space via the microSD card slot (up to 256GB). Lava Agni 5G runs the stock version of Android 11.
Moving on to the cameras, the latest Lava smartphone features a quad-rear camera setup which has an LED flash. There is a 64MP primary camera, a 5MP ultrawide camera, a 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. For the selfies, the Agni 5G has a 16MP camera at the front.
The Lava Agni 5G is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery and supports up to 30W fast charging. It features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. It measures 168.8 x 76.8 x 9.1mm and weighs 204g. Connectivity features include a Dual-SIM card slot, GPS, Wi-Fi 5, and Bluetooth 5.1.
