Lexar has launched the NM760 NVMe SSD (Solid-State Drive) in India. The newly launched Lexar NM760 NVMe SSD is intended towards gamers and filmmakers alike, as it is designed to offer high-speed data transfer and improved performance. The new SSD is said to offer read speeds of up to 5.3GBps and write speeds of up to 4.5GBps.

The Lexar NM760 NVMe SSD has been introduced in a 512GB memory variant and a 1TB storage option. The 512GB variant of the Lexar NM760 NVMe SSD is priced at ₹10,000, while the company is yet to announce the pricing of its top-tier variant. The SSD will be available for purchase starting from June 2022, via the company’s official store and Amazon India. The Lexar NM760 NVMe SSD comes with a five-year warranty.

The newly launched Lexar NM760 NVMe SSD, as mentioned earlier, reportedly offers up to 5.3GBps read speeds and up to 4.5GBps write speeds. The SSD is claimed to come with 9.6 times faster performance when compared with a SATA-based SSD. You can thus expect a significant jump in performance. With this, the Lexar NM760 NVMe SSD could turn out to be a lucrative choice for gamers and professional filmmakers.

Speaking of gamers, the Lexar NM760 NVMe SSD is compatible with laptops, PCs, and gaming consoles such as the PlayStation 5. The drive is built on a 12nm controller, which is reported to consume less power when compared to the older-gen 28nm process. The SSD comes with support for PCIe Gen4x4 NVMe systems and is backwards compatible for PCIe Gen3 systems. Additionally, the Lexar NM760 NVMe SSD comes with support for an optional heatsink to maintain optimum performance and to keep the SSD cool during intense gaming sessions.
