Early this year, LG unveiled its LG UltraFine Display OLED Pro Monitor (32EP950-B) for photography and video professionals. The company has now revealed the successors of the UltraFine OLED Pro monitor set to launch in 2022.
This year’s variant is available as a 31.5-inch monitor, retailing for $3,999 (approximately ₹3.05 lakh). However, next year’s lineup will include a 27-inch variant. The new models will come with the same monitor hoods and calibration sensors as their 31.5-inch counterpart. LG also announced that it will be unveiling a new range of audio products at CES, which includes a soundbar with 810W output and IMAX Enhanced Audio.
LG UltraFine OLED Pro Monitor (2022): Specifications
The new LG UltraFine OLED Pro Monitor (2022 variant) will be available in 27-inch screen sizes and also come with a 4K UHD (3,840×2,160 pixels) resolution. They boast of a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio along with 99 percent Adobe RGB and DCI-P3 colour space coverage.
However, these monitors aren’t meant for gaming or even casual movie watching. They are mainly geared towards video and photography professionals. The LG UltraFine OLED Pro monitors ship with detachable self-calibration sensors and monitor hoods, just like its 31.5-inch version that was launched early this year. It also comes with the LG Calibration Studio software which can be used to adjust the monitor settings.
Next year’s LG UltraFine OLED Pro models will come with a USB Type-C port for a 90W power supply as well. Other connectivity features will also be the same as its 2021 version. When it comes to display, the company boasts of DisplayHDR 400 True Black technology. Moreover, the monitor also has an onboard sensor that measures light, which will help maintain display accuracy.
LG UltraFine OLED Pro Monitor (2022): Price, Availability
The South Korean company said that the LG UltraFine OLED Pro monitors will be available in “key markets” from January 2022. However, its price has not been announced yet.
