Today, LG announced its newest LG UltraGear laptop for 2022, ahead of CES which is scheduled for next month. It is touted as a high-performance laptop geared towards gamers. The South Korean company said that its latest UltraGear laptop is one of the Innovation Award Honorees for the upcoming CES 2022.
LG had first released it UltraGear laptops, one of its flagship laptops, back in 2018. However, the UltraGear brand isn’t limited to laptops alone. To round up the gaming experience, LG also launched its premium gaming speakers and monitors with the UltraGear label. Let’s have a look at the specifications of LG’s latest UltraGear laptop.
LG UltraGear Laptop (2022) Specifications:
The newest LG UltraGear laptop comes with 17.3-inch monitor with a 1080p display resolution. It also features an in-place switching panel with a refresh rate of 300Hz. LG says that the laptop has a DTS: X Ultra system stereo speakers to provide gamers with a more immersive experience.
The laptop is powered by Intel’s 11th-generation Tiger Lake H core processor and comes with Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 3080 Max-Q graphics card. It is equipped with dual DDR4 memory slots with a capacity of up to 32GB. LG also claimed that it has dual solid-state drive slots with up to 1TB storage.
To truly earn its title as a gaming computer, it needs to have an RGB keyboard to jazz up the experience. LG’s latest laptop offering is no different, since it is reported to come with an RGB backlit gaming keyboard. When it comes to connectivity, the laptop has one USB 4 Type C port, one USB 3.2 Type C port and two USB 3.2 ports.
Compared to its predecessor, the LG UltraGear 17, the newest LG laptop carries a bit more heft at 2.64 kilograms, which is still light enough to be carried around. It also packs a 93Wh battery.
The worldwide release date for LG’s New UltraGear Gaming Laptop is yet to be announced, but you can expect a phased rollout. It will be first released in Korea in January 2022. The pricing of the laptop should be available after it is launched at the CES in the first week of January.
