The keycaps are black PBT, which improves durability over the original G413 keyboard’s ABS plastic keycaps. However, Logitech hasn’t mentioned if these are double-shot PBT.
The switches below the keycaps are touted to offer tactile feedback. They come with an operating force of 50 grams and have an activation point of 1.9 millimetres with a key travel of four millimetres. The SE keyboards appear to have different switches from the standard G413, which has Logitech Romer-G tactile switches with 45 grams of operating force, 1.5mm actuation point, and a travel distance of 3.2 millimetres. Theoretically, the SE keyboards might require more force than the standard G413 keyboard.
Logitech says that the G413 SE keyboards are built for gamers as it features six-key rollover and anti-ghosting. However, it skimps on linear switches, which gamers rave about. Another proof of cost-cutting is that these keyboards don’t feature reprogrammable keys.
