The Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio, which first debuted in the US in September 2021, has now arrived in India. The laptop boasts of a one-of-a-kind Dynamic Woven hinge that allows it to pop out like a tablet and be utilised in three forms. A Surface Slim Pen 2 is also included, which is placed beneath the keyboard. Let’s take a closer look at the Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio, its specifications, features, and price in India.

Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio Price In India, Availability

The base variant of the Surface Laptop Studio from Microsoft featuring Intel’s Core i5 11th generation chipset, with 16GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage carries a price tag of ₹1,56,999 (commercial pricing)/ ₹1,65,999 (consumer pricing), while the top of the line configuration with a Core i7 CPU, 16GB memory and 2TB of storage is priced at ₹3,43,499 in the country.

Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio Specifications

The Surface Laptop Studio has a 14.4-inch PixelSense Flow display with a 3:2 aspect ratio, a resolution of 2,400×1,600 pixels, and a refresh rate of 120Hz. The display also supports Dolby Vision and 10-point multi-touch. The hinge on the laptop allows for three potential working modes—conventional laptop mode with a full-sized keyboard and trackpad, Stage Mode with the laptop’s screen pulled forward, and Studio Mode with the laptop transformed into a tablet.

The laptop runs Windows 11 and is powered by quad-core 11th Gen Intel Core H35 processors (i5-11300H/ i7-11370H) with up to 32GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 2TB of SSD storage. The Intel Core i5 models include Intel Iris Xe integrated graphics, while Intel Core i7 versions can be equipped with up to an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 Ti GPU with 4GB of GDDR6 memory.

The device includes Windows Hello facial recognition, a 1080p front-facing camera, two far-field Studio Mics, and Quad Omnisonic speakers with Dolby Atmos. The Surface Laptop Studio has dual USB 4.0 Type-C ports (Thunderbolt 4), a 3.5mm headphone jack, a Surface Connect port, Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth v5.1. Microsoft claims up to 19 and 18 hours of battery life on a single charge on the Core i5 and i7 variants respectively. The battery cell on the laptop can be recharged via the 65W/102W Surface Power Supply adaptor.

The revised and sharper tip of the Surface Slim Pen 2 is said to provide a finer point for writing, shading, and inking. The Surface Slim Pen 2 uses new Windows 11 features and a special Microsoft G6 processor to deliver tactile signals that simulate the feel of a pen on paper. The laptop contains a dock for the new Surface Slim Pen 2 beneath the keyboard, where the Pen magnetically connects and charges.
