Motorola is likely to launch a new smartphone under the company’s longest-running smartphone line—the Moto G series. Codenamed Hawai++, the Moto G22 is due for launch. A new report has revealed high-resolution press renders and specifications of the upcoming smartphone. The handset is said to have a 90Hz display and a Helio G37 SoC.
Let’s take a closer look at the detailed specifications of the Moto G22 and everything we know so far.
Moto G22 Tipped to be Powered by Helio G37 SoC
According to WinFuture, the upcoming smartphone from Motorola, dubbed the Moto G22, will be built around a 6.53-inch 90Hz OLED display with a 720 x 1600 pixels HD+ resolution. The renders reveal a centrally placed punch-hole and a sizeable chin. The phone will boot Android 12 out of the box.
Under the hood, the smartphone is said to be powered by the octa-core Mediatek Helio G37 SoC coupled with up to 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The storage on the phone could be further expanded with the help of the microSD card slot.
For optics, the Moto G22 will reportedly include a quad rear camera module comprising a 50MP primary shooter with an f/1.8 lens, a secondary 8MP ultra-wide angled lens paired with dual 2MP shooters. At the front, users can spot a 16MP shooter for selfies and video calls. There’s the Motorola logo at the back with a fingerprint scanner mounted on the power button and a 3.5mm headphone jack at the bottom.
A 5,000mAh battery with 10W charging support could power the smartphone. At present, there is no word on the pricing and availability of the Moto G22. A previous report revealed that the Moto G22 will also be sold under Lenovo branding in some markets and will carry the marketing name K15+.
