Motorola has quietly launched a new G-series handset—the Moto G52 in the European market. The successor to last year’s Moto G51 5G comes with a downgraded system on chip and lacks 5G connectivity. However, to make up for it, Motorola has included a high refresh rate AMOLED display this time around. The handset retains a 50MP camera setup as well as a 5,000mAh battery unit from its predecessor.

The smartphone comes in two configurations—4GB + 128GB and 6GB + 128GB. The Moto G52 pricing starts at €249.99 which translates to about ₹20,690. The device comes in two colour options—Porcelain White and Charcoal Grey.

The latest Moto G-series handset offers a 6.6-inch AMOLED display with a Full HD+ (2,400 × 1,080) resolution, 402ppi pixel density, and 90Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the all-new G52 sports an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor, coupled with an integrated Adreno 610 GPU.
The handset boots Android 12 out of the box with some nifty additions on top. These include gestures such as swipe fingerprint for notifications, quickly open camera, fast touch, and three-finger screenshot.
The Moto G52 offers a triple-rear camera setup and an LED flash. The primary shooter on the device includes a 50MP sensor with an F1.8 aperture and autofocus. Accompanying it is an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens with an F2.2 aperture which also doubles as a depth sensor. The device also features a 2MP macro sensor with an F2.4 aperture. For selfies and video calls, it relies on a 16MP front shooter with an F2.45 aperture.
The all-new G52 is backed by a 5,000mAh battery unit and 30W TurboPower fast charging support. It makes use of a USB 2.0 Type-C port for charging and data transfers. The device also offers a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a hybrid micro-SD card slot, and a 3.5mm audio jack. There is also a stereo speaker setup with Dolby Atmos on the Moto G52.
The latest Moto G-series handset weighs 169grams and measures 160.98 × 74.46 × 7.99mm. The Moto G52 is water-repellent with its IP52 rating. In terms of connectivity, it offers dual-SIM, 4G, 2.4/5GHz WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, GPS, Glonass, and Galileo.
