Motorola has released the list of its smartphones that will get the Android 13 update. Earlier, the company had released a list of just ten smartphones as being eligible to get the update. However, the company’s new list consists of 20 devices, including recent launches like the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra (Review) and older devices like the Motorola Edge 20. Unfortunately, even high-end Motorola phones like the Motorola Edge+ that were launched in 2020 haven’t made it to the list, and that’s disappointing.
Below is the list of Motorola smartphones that will get the Android 13 update.
Motorola Android 13 Update: List Of Compabile Phones

The Motorola Edge 20 is Motorola’s oldest phone on the list, while the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra is its newest phone. Other high-end Motorola smartphones that will get the Android 13 update include the Motorola Edge 2021, Motorola Edge 2022, Motorola Edge 20 Lite, Motorola Edge 20 Pro, Motorola Edge 30, Motorola Edge 30 Fusion, Motorola Edge 30 Neo, Motorola Edge 30 Pro, Motorola Edge+ 5G UW (2022), and the Motorola RAZR (2022).
In the mid-range segment, the Motorola Moto G32, Moto G42, Moto G52, Moto G62 5G, Moto G72, and the Moto G82 5G will get the Android 13 update. Motorola’s official community moderator posted this list in the Lenovo forums, so it’s official. The moderator also mentioned that the company will start rolling out the update to select devices in early 2023. It means that no Motorola phone will get the Android 13 update this year. In comparison, Samsung has released the Android 13 update to almost all eligible smartphones and tablets and is aiming to complete the rollout before the end of this year.
Motorola Android 13 Update: Features
Motorola has also not revealed what additional features it will bring with the Android 13 update to its devices. However, we assume that all the important Android 13 features that Google released with AOSP will be available on Motorola smartphones with the next big update.
Those features include per-app language settings, improved Material You design (home screen wallpaper-based colours in the UI), dynamic app icons, a new media player widget in the notifications area, improved QR code scanner, Bluetooth LE Audio support, an improved audio output switcher (with support for Google Cast devices), improved clipboard, support for Digital Keys, smart home controls on the lock screen, opt-in notifications for all apps, and the new Security & Privacy Hub.
Some under-the-hood changes could include faster performance, better app load times, and smoother animations. A variety of fonts and languages look better on Android 13. Google has also integrated Google Fast Pair into Android 13, so that feature could arrive on Motorola smartphones as well.
