Motorola Edge 20, Edge 20 Fusion With 6.7-inch AMOLED Display, 108MP Camera Launched in India: Price, Specifications

Lenovo-owned Motorola has launched the Motorola Edge 20 and the Motorola Edge 20 Fusion smartphones in India. These new phones feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with 10-bit colour, DCI-P3 colour gamut coverage, and HDR10+. The Motorola Edge 20 Fusion is equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 800U processor, while the Motorola Edge 20 uses the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G chipset. Both these devices feature a 108MP primary camera and a 32MP selfie camera. These smartphones were launched in Europe a few weeks ago.

Motorola Edge 20 & Edge 20 Fusion Price in India, Availability

The Motorola Edge 20 price in India starts at ₹29,999. The device will be available in India starting August 24 at 12 PM via Flipkart and other retail stores across India. The Motorola Edge 20 Fusion is priced at ₹21,499 for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. The 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant of the Edge 20 Fusion is priced at ₹22,999. The smartphone will go on sale starting from August 27 at 12 PM via Flipkart.

The Motorola Edge 20 comes in two colours: Frosted Emerald and Frosted Pearl. The Motorola Edge 20 Fusion comes in two colours as well: Cyber Teal and Electric Graphite.

Motorola Edge 20 Specifications, Features

The Motorola Edge 20 features a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution (2,400 × 1,080 pixels), a 144Hz refresh rate, 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut coverage, 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, and HDR10+. Powering the device is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G chipset. The chipset’s Adreno 642L GPU is powerful enough to handle all the high-end games at high 60fps or higher frame rate. The phone packs 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

The imaging department is handled by a triple-camera setup that consists of a 108MP main camera, a 16MP ultrawide camera, and an 8MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. On the front, the device sports a 32MP selfie camera. The smartphone can record 4K 60fps videos using the rear camera and Full HD videos using the front-facing camera.

Other features of the Motorola Edge 20 include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, 5G (SA/NSA),  Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, NFC, a USB Type-C port, and a 4,000mAh battery. The smartphone supports 30W fast charging. The Motorola Edge 20 runs Android 11 out of the box with a stock Android-like UI design. It will receive two major Android OS updates in the future and two years of bi-monthly security updates.

Motorola Edge 20 Fusion Specifications, Features

Moving onto the Motorola Edge 20 Fusion, the smartphone features a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution, and HDR10+, similar to the Edge 20. However, this phone’s display is restricted to a 90Hz refresh rate. The device has 6GB/8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage. You can expand the storage with the microSD card slot (up to 1TB).

Similar to the Motorola Edge 20, the Edge 20 Fusion features a 108MP main camera. However, the ultrawide camera is just 8MP and the telephoto camera is replaced by a useless 2MP depth sensor. The phone is powered by a 5,000mAh battery that supports 30W TurboPower fast charging.

Connectivity features of the Motorola Edge 20 Fusion include 5G (SA/NSA), dual-4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, NFC, a USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The smartphone runs Android 11 out of the box and it will receive two major Android OS updates and two years of bi-monthly security updates.
