Motorola Edge 2021 With 6.5-inch FHD+ 144Hz Display, Snapdragon 778G Processor Goes Official: Price, Specifications

Motorola has introduced the Motorola Edge 2021 in the US market. This new smartphone is the successor to last year’s Motorola Edge. The Motorola Edge 2021 offers a flat display and improved specifications. The smartphone features a 6.5-inch IPS LCD display that has Full HD+ resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the smartphone comes equipped with the Snapdragon 778G SoC (System-on-Chip). The device packs 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Other specifications of the phone include a 108MP triple-camera setup, a 32MP selfie camera, and a 5,000mAh battery.

Motorola Edge 2021 Price

The Motorola Edge 2021 is priced at $699 (₹52,000) in the US. The smartphone will be available for just $499 (₹37,200) for a limited time. The device comes in just one colour: Nebula Blue. 

The smartphone will be available for pre-order in the US starting August 23, 2021. The device will be available for purchase starting September 2, 2021, via Amazon.com, Best Buy, B&H Photo, and Motorola.com. As of now, Motorola has not shared any details available regarding the phone’s launch in India.

Motorola Edge 2021 Specifications

The Motorola Edge 2021 sports a 6.5-inch IPS LCD display with Full HD+ resolution (2,460 x 1,080 pixels). The display panel has a 90.6% screen-to-body ratio, HDR10+, and a 144Hz refresh rate. The phone packs 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. As mentioned above, the device is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 778G processor, which is a flagship-grade chipset. The phone runs Android 11 out of the box with My UX on top.

Connectivity features of the Motorola Edge 2021 include Wi-Fi 6E, 5G, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. The smartphone features a triple-camera setup on the rear, featuring a 108MP primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens with macro mode, and a 2MP depth sensor. The 108MP primary camera has an F2.2 aperture and doubles as a Macro Vision camera. For selfies, the phone uses a 32MP front-facing camera.

Other features of the Motorola Edge 2021 include an IP52 rating for water splash resistance, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and a 5,000mAh capacity battery that supports up to 33W fast charging.
