Motorola Edge 30 Pro 5G Specifications Revealed: Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, 144Hz Display, 5000mAh Battery, & More

Motorola will be launching its flagship smartphone, the Motorola Edge 30 Pro, in India this week. The company had recently tweeted about a launch event set for February 24, 2022, suggesting the smartphone’s impending launch. The Motorola Edge 30 Pro 5G is expected to be identical in design and features to the already launched Moto Edge X30. A report suggests that 91mobiles have been able to lay their hands on the complete features list of the India specific model of the Motorola Edge 30 Pro ahead of the launch.  

Motorola Edge 30 Pro Rumoured Features, Specifications

According to the report, the Moto Edge 30 Pro will sport a 6.7-inch Full HD+ AMOLED screen with a 144Hz high refresh rate and will support HDR10+. The front and the back will be protected by Corning’s Gorilla Glass 5, although we would have liked to see a Gorilla Glass Victus or Victus+. The frame will be made out of polycarbonate and not metal. Another cost-cutting measure is the inclusion of a side-mounted fingerprint sensor as opposed to the in-display optical or ultrasonic types. 

The Motorola Edge 30 Pro will get the same heart as the Moto Edge X30, which is Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor built on the 4nm fabrication process. It is expected to come in a single variant equipped with 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB of internal storage. 

In terms of camera, the handset boasts a triple rear camera setup. The primary camera is a 50MP OmniVision OV50A40 primary sensor with an f/1.79 aperture. It is accompanied by a 50MP ultra-wide shooter and a 2MP depth camera. Selfie addicts would be elated as the Edge 30 Pro 5G will get a 60MP sensor hiding in the punch-hole cutout on the display.

Other notable features of the flagship Motorola smartphone include 5G, Bluetooth 5.2, WiFi 6E, GPS, 13 5G bands support, and USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor is surely a performance monster and Motorola has plonked it with a 5,000mAh battery to provide sufficient battery backup to users. The Motorola Edge 30 Pro 5G will run on MyUI custom skin on top of Android 12. It will get two years of promised Android OS updates. 

Motorola Edge 30 Pro Rumoured Price, Availability

The Motorola Edge 30 will come in a single variant with 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and a single Cosmic Blue colour when it launches in India on February 24, 2022. It is speculated to be priced between ₹45,000 to ₹50,000 in the Indian market.
