The Motorola Edge 30 is marketed as the thinnest 5G smartphone and will be the first handset in India to debut with the Snapdragon 778G+ chipset. The handset was launched in Europe in April and will eventually arrive in Asia, Australia, Latin America, and the Middle East.

It will be an upper-midrange smartphone. The handset is just 6.79mm thick and weighs 155 grams, making it the slimmest and lightest 5G smartphone. The device sports a 6.5-inch 10-bit AMOLED panel with Full HD+ resolution and a 144Hz high screen refresh rate.
The Motorola Edge 30 will be powered by a Snapdragon 778G+ chipset, which will be the first on a smartphone in the country. It runs a slightly overclocked Kyro 670 Prime core when compared to the vanilla Snapdragon 778G. This is expected to give it an upper hand when compared to devices such as the Realme GT Master Edition and the iQOO Z5 5G, which come with the older Snapdragon 778G processor. The handset will be equipped with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage.
In terms of camera, the Motorola Edge 30 will come with a 50MP primary sensor with OIS, a 50MP ultrawide shooter, and a 2MP depth sensor. For selfie addicts, there will be a 32MP camera housed in the punch hole camera at the front.
The Edge 30 is a very slim phone and some compromises have been made in the battery department to accommodate the slimness. It is powered by a slightly smaller capacity 4,020mAh battery but gets a 33W TurboPower fast charging support to top it up quickly. The smartphone may come with Android 12 out of the box.
Motorola Edge 30: Price (Expected)
The Motorola Edge 30 was launched in Europe for EUR 450 (approx. ₹36,300). However, we expect it to be priced slightly cheaper at around the ₹30,000 mark in India. At this price it would make a strong case for itself, especially considering its compact footprint and a better set of cameras when compared to its rivals.
