Motorola’s rumoured 2022 flagship is expected to arrive with the world’s first 200-megapixel camera sensor on a smartphone. The company is believed to introduce three new smartphones under the Edge 30 lineup—the Edge 30, Edge 30 Ultra, and Edge 30 Lite. Now, a new report reveals the key specifications of the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra.

Motorola Edge 30 Pro To Feature Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ SoC
As per the key specifications shared via Twitter user Yogesh Brar, the Motorola Frontier aka the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra will feature a 6.67-inch FHD+ curved OLED display. The screen is said to support refresh rates of 120Hz. Under the hood, the smartphone is reportedly powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ SoC paired with 8GB or 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB or 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage.
As for the imaging, the Frontier might be the first smartphone in the industry to pack in a 200MP primary shooter, paired with a 50MP ultra-wide angle lens and a 12MP 2x telephoto lens. On the front, the smartphone may get a 60MP shooter for clearer selfies and video calls. A recent live image leak reveals that the Samsung sensor used on the device is 1/1.22 inches in size, with 0.64µm native pixel size and a 16-in-1 pixel-binning pipeline.

The 4×4 binning mode, which uses 16 sensor pixels to form a single large picture pixel, can shoot with a resolution of 12.5MP and 2.56µm pixels.
The smartphone may draw power from a 4,500mAh battery with support for 125W fast charging. It will boot Android 12-based My UX out of the box and have an in-display fingerprint scanner for biometrics and security. The company is yet to make a formal announcement on the rumoured flagship’s arrival.
