Motorola has launched its new mid-range smartphone, the Moto G 5G, in India. Right now, the Moto G 5G is India’s most-affordable 5G smartphone, and it is priced at Rs 20,999. Motorola has managed to beat the OnePlus Nord by a margin of Rs 4,000. The Moto G 5G was listed on Flipkart a few days before the official launch.

The company is even offering an instant discount of Rs 1,000 for purchases made by HDFC Bank cards, bringing the effective price of the smartphone to Rs 19,999. The Moto G 5G comes in Volcanic Grey and Frosted Silver colour options.
The Moto G 5G was launched in European markets earlier this month with a price tag of EUR 299.99 (around Rs 26,300) in two variants: 4GB RAM+64GB storage and 6GB RAM+128GB storage. However, in India, the company has decided to launch just one version: 6GB RAM + 128GB storage.
Moto G 5G Specifications
The newly-launched Motorola Moto G 5G sports a 6.7-inch Max Vision display with Full HD+ resolution (2,400×1,080 pixels) and a pixel density of 394ppi. It is equipped with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G processor, 6GB RAM, and 128GB internal storage. There is also a microSD card slot for up to 1TB additional storage space. The Motorola Moto G 5G runs Android 10 with Motorola’s own My UX. The smartphone is powered by a 5,000mAh battery and supports 20W Turbo Power fast charging. It is IP52-certified for protection against dust.
The Motorola G 5G has a total of 3 cameras at the rear: a 48MP primary camera with an f/1.7 aperture, an 8MP ultrawide camera with an f/2.2 aperture and 118-degree field-of-view, and a 2MP macro camera with an f/2.4 aperture. At the front, it has a 16MP selfie camera with an f/2.2 aperture. The rear-facing camera can record 4K 30fps videos, while the front-facing camera is limited to just 1080p 30fps video recording.
The phone’s connectivity options include 5G, 4G, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n/ac (also known as Wi-Fi 5), Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, NFC, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It also features a rear-facing fingerprint sensor for added security. The Motorola G 5G measures 166.1×76.1×9.9mm and weighs 212g.
