The renders and detailed specifications of the upcoming Moto G22 handset have now been leaked. A report by 91mobiles reveals that the Moto G22 is codenamed Hawaii+ and will be powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G37 processor. The Moto G22 will feature a full-screen display with a sizeable chin and a punch hole notch. The rear panel of the handset will house a quad rear camera setup inside an oval-shaped module which resides on the top left corner of the back panel. The right edge of the handset will make room for volume rockers and the power button. The upcoming G22 will come with a flat edge design.

According to the report, the Moto G22 will offer a 6.5-inch LCD display panel with an HD+ (1,600 x 720 pixel) resolution, 268ppi pixel density, and a 90Hz refresh rate. Powering the handset is an octa-core MediaTek Helio G37 processor that makes use of 8x Cortex A53 cores. The Helio G37 brings with it a PowerVR GE832 GPU. The smartphone is said to come pre-loaded with Android 12.

The primary sensor on the upcoming Moto G-series device will be a 50MP shooter with an F1.8 aperture. Accompanying it is an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens with an F2.2 aperture. There is also a 2MP macro and a 2MP depth sensor on the upcoming handset. For selfies, it will rely on a 16MP front shooter that has an F2.0 aperture according to the report.
The Moto G22 will be equipped with a 5,000mAh battery unit. The upcoming G-series handset will offer a side-mounted fingerprint scanner which will double as the power button. It will also offer a 3.5mm audio jack. The device is expected to come in a 4GB + 64GB configuration and it will support micro-SD cards as well.
The report also reveals that the Moto G22 will also be sold under Lenovo branding in some markets and will carry the marketing name K15+.
