Popular gaming PC component and gaming laptop manufacturer, MSI, has unveiled its whole range of 2022 laptops at the CES event in Las Vegas. The list also includes the super expensive Stealth and Raider laptops. But we will be focusing on the latest Katana, Pulse, Vector, and Sword series of gaming laptops here.
The Taiwanese brand brings enough variety of laptops named after famous blades, for everyone to choose from. It may become overwhelming for most because of the multitude of series of laptops and their respective variants. However, all of these are pretty similar at their core as they are powered by Intel’s 12th Generation of processors, high-performance GPUs, high screen refresh rates, and Windows 11.

The new Katana gaming laptop comes with three screen sizes to choose from, which includes a 17.3-inch Full HD with 144Hz, a 15.6-inch Full HD with 144Hz, or a Full HD 15.6-inch 240Hz. All the displays are IPS LCD panels. It will be loaded with 12th Gen Intel Alder Lake processors up to Core i7-12700H. The laptop can also be configured with up to Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti GPU.
The Pulse gaming notebook will be powered with up to a 12th Gen Intel Core i9-12900H processor. It will sport a 17.3-inch Full HD IPS with a 360Hz screen refresh rate or a 15.6-inch QHD IPS display with a 165Hz display. The Pulse laptops will be aided by the Nvidia RTX 3070 GPU for video editing and gaming. It will be equipped with a maximum of 64GB DDR4 RAM and up to 1TB of internal NVMe SSD storage.
The MSI Vector laptop will come with up to Intel Core i9-12900HK CPU. The notebook will be powered with up to Nvidia RTX 3080 GPU. It will be equipped with up to 32GB of RAM and up to 1TB of SSD storage. The Vector GP76 variant will be available in a sole 17.3-inch Quad HD IPS display with a 240Hz screen refresh rate. The Vector GP66 will come with two choices, a 15.6-inch Full HD with 240Hz refresh rate or a 15.6-inch Quad HD IPS with a 165Hz screen refresh rate.
Lastly, the Sword gaming laptop is powered by processors up to Core i7-12700H. The notebook comes in a single screen size, 15.6-inch Full HD with a 144Hz refresh rate. It can be paired with up to Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti GPU.
All the aforementioned laptops come with common connectivity features such as one USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-C port, two USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A ports, one USB 2.0 Type-A port, and HDMI, among others. These laptops get two 2-watt stereo speakers with Hi-Res audio certification.

The MSI Katana gaming laptop prices start from $1,099 (approx. ₹82,000). The MSI Pulse’s prices start from $1,299 (approx. ₹96,600). On the other hand, the MSI Vector gaming notebooks are priced from $1,899 (approx. ₹1,14,000).
