A new entry-level Play series device from Motorola is anticipated to launch in the coming weeks and major details about it have already surfaced online. The rumoured Moto G Play (2022) model will feature minor improvements over the current 2021 model. Well-known leaker Evan Blass has now revealed the new Moto G Play device’s design and complete features.
Moto G Play (2022) Edition Specifications
The Moto G Play (2022) will pack a 6.5-inch HD+ (720 x 1600) IPS LCD panel with thick bezels and a punch-hole cutout on the top to house the selfie camera. The IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU and MediaTek Helio G37 processor will power the device, which might be a downgrade compared to the Snapdragon 460 that powered the 2021 edition of this handset. Like the 2021 model, the phone will come equipped with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.
On the imaging front, the Moto G Play (2022) will have a triple camera setup on the rear with a 16MP primary snapper, a 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. The selfies, on the other hand, will be taken care of by a 5MP snapper. Other features on the phone include a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, Android 12 out of the box, and a sizeable 5,000mAh battery with support for 10W fast charging.
