New Tecno Spark 8 Variant With 3GB RAM, MediaTek Helio G25 Processor Launched In India

Tecno had launched the Tecno Spark 8 smartphone in India last month. It was launched with 2GB of RAM and the MediaTek Helio A25 processor. Now, the company has introduced a slightly tweaked version of the Tecno Spark 8 in India with more RAM and a different chipset. The new Tecno Spark 8 variant comes powered by the MediaTek Helio G25 processor and packs up to 3GB of RAM. The rest of the features of the new model remains the original variant, which means you get a 6.56-inch HD+ display, a 16MP primary camera, an 8MP selfie camera, Android 11, and a 5,000mAh battery.

The Tecno Spark 8 3GB RAM variant is priced at ₹9,299 in India. The device will be available in Atlantic Blue, Iris Purple colour, and Turquoise Cyan colour variants across all retail outlets in the country.

The Tecno Spark 8 sports a 6.56-inch IPS LCD display that has HD+ resolution and a 60Hz refresh rate. The device is powered by the MediaTek Helio G25 processor. The smartphone comes with 3GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 32GB of eMMC 5.1 internal storage. The device runs Android 11 out of the box with HiOS 7.6 custom skin on top. The handset also has a microSD card slot for extra storage space (up to 256GB).

On the rear, the smartphone features a dual-camera setup which consists of a 16MP primary camera and AI lens. The rear-facing camera offers features such as AI Beauty, Smile Shot, AI portrait, HDR, AR Shot, Filters, Time-Lapse, Panorama, Slow Motion, Video Bokeh, and more. For selfies, the handset sports an 8MP camera that is located in the water-drop-shaped notch.

Connectivity features of the device include a dual-SIM card slot, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a microUSB port. The device packs a 5,000mAh battery that supports 10W charging. The handset measures 164.82 × 76.05 × 8.85mm in terms of dimensions. The device also has HyperEngine technology which claims to provide a seamless gaming experience. The phone has a physical fingerprint sensor on the rear side.
